Update from Education Advising

Hi all -

I am posting this in case it's relevant for you. If it isn't, then ignore it:

Greetings from the Education Advising Center!

We hope that the semester is off to a great start.  The beginning of the semester is always exciting for us with the return of students and the energy you bring!

This email is a gentle reminder to Elementary, K-12 Teaching, and Secondary Education students planning to take Spring 2013 semester Education Methods courses (next semester). Application packets are due on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, for ALL majors to REID 132.  All application packets must be typed and signed by your major advisor. No handwritten applications will be accepted as these formal documents confirm substitutions and begin your teacher candidate file in the Filed Placement and Licensure Office.

There are step-by-step directions on our Education Advising Website for each area of teaching (Elementary Education, K-12 Teaching, and Secondary (5-12) Education).  These directions will walk you through putting together your application packet.  Please use these directions so your packet is complete.  Most of you may have already had a background check completed within the last year so you WILL NOT need to complete this step until Student Teaching.

Please contact the Advising Center with any questions.

Best Wishes,

Jen
